Welp, a short article about the preservation I’ve been running for the last several months was published on the front page of the New York Times website this morning. Granted, they published it two days early, so I was caught unprepared to discuss it. But rest assured I will have lots more to say about it in the coming days.
For now, all I can say is that handling, inspecting, repairing, and preserving a lost film that was hand-edited by Orson Welles himself has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. So far.
